Services

We're the largest, most capable provider of shipbuilding, repair and metal fabrication in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Ferries to fishing vessels. Aircraft carriers and icebreakers. Workboats, barges and more.

We keep the maritime industry moving. We upgrade energy platforms and craft alternatives. We fabricate metal for sea and for land, and we finish things off with state-of-the-art blasting and coating services.

Passenger Vessels

Our US Fab subsidiary is the prime shipbuilder for Washington State Ferries--the largest ferry system in the United States and the fourth largest worldwide. We recently delivered the third of three award-winning 64-car ferries, under budget and ahead of schedule.

We're currently building our ninth vessel for WSF, to carry up to 144 cars and up to 1500 passengers. At 362' from bow to stern, it will be as long as a football field from end zone to end zone.

At Alaska Ship & Drydock our workers have experience building small to large ferries, including the innovative M/V Susitna. We are also looking to build the next vessel for the Alaska Marine Highway System.

Our expert shipbuilders craft passenger vessels from steel and aluminum. To metric or imperial measure. To whatever classification or standard our customers require. And our Vigor Marine subsidiary is ready to maintain, modernize and upgrade existing vessels to the same exacting standards.
